David KnightsPresident
David received his Associate Diploma in Metallurgy in Wollongong TAFE and his Associate Diploma in Business Management at the University of South Australia. David was appointed President of AltaSteel Ltd. in August 2011 by the OneSteel organization. In his role as President of AltaSteel, David serves on the Board of the Canadian Steel Producers Association (CSPA) as well as the Steel Manufacturers Association (SMA).
David has been in the Steelmaking Industry since 1978 and joined the OneSteel organization in 2002 when he took on the role as Manufacturing Manager of the Sydney Steel Mill, he then moved in to the role of General Manager, Electric Steelmaking Rod & Bar, and in 2009 became the General Manager of the Sydney Steel Mill.
