Rebar (Reinforcing Bar)

Rebar (or reinforcing bar) is an essential component of weight-bearing concrete structures.  When added to concrete, the rebar adds strength and flexibility, which concrete alone does not have.  AltaSteel manufactures rebar in 2 grades, regular and weldable.  Both grades are available in 5 sizes: 15m, 20m, 25m, 30m, and 35m. Typically we produce all sizes and grades into an 18 meter bar, and ship via truck and rail throughout Western Canada.
 
AltaSteel's rebar is used extensively in major concrete construction projects throughout Western Canada.  Examples of these projects include bridges, overpasses, buildings, and other large concrete structures.

All rebar manufactured in North America carries a unique symbol, to identify the mill where the rebar was produced.  AltaSteel’s rebar is identified via an “A” shaped mark on every piece.
