Coverage for you and your dependents begins after the successful completion of a three-month probationary period.

 

Unionized Benefit Coverage

Supplementary Health Care

Medical services such as prescription drugs, preferred accommodation, paramedical, eyewear, etc...


Dental Care

Diagnostic and preventive, restorative and orthodontics services (level of reimbursement varies).


Weekly Indemnity

Loss of income protection in the event of a short term disability $748 per week.


Long Term Disability

Loss of income in the event of a long-term disability Benefit is $1,250 per week.


Life Insurance Basic

Provides a lump sum to the designated beneficiary(ies) in the event of death

$45,000 flat coverage amount.


Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Additional insurance in the event of accidental death or a permanent dismemberment.


Pension Plan

Provides retirement and survivor income replacement.


Employee and Family Assistance (EFAP)

Comprehensive psychological counseling, wellness and work life services (eg legal and financial consultations).

Non- Unionized Benefit Coverage

Health Spending Account

Reimbursement of medical, dental and vision expenses.  Annual credit allocation of $3,075 per calendar year.  Partial credit carry-forward for one year.


Long Term Disability

Loss of income in the event of a long-term disability Benefit is 70% of salary and is taxable.


Life Insurance Basic

Provides a lump sum to the designated beneficiary(ies) in the event of death equivalent to one times base annual salary.


Optional Life

Additional life insurance can be purchased in units of $10,000 up to $250,000.


Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Additional insurance in the event of accidental death or a permanent dismemberment  equivalent to one times base annual salary.


Pension Plan

Provides retirement and survivor income replacement.  Employee required contributions must be between 4% – 6% of salary.

Comprehensive psychological counseling, wellness and work life services (eg legal and financial consultations).
