AltaSteel On-site Fitness Facility

For a fee of $5.00/month, Employees are provided access to an on-site Fitness Facility.  The Fitness Facility contains weight training equipment, exercise bike, treadmill, and other fitness equipment.  The fee for use of the facility is payable to the Gym Committee who is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Fitness Facility.

Corporate Challenge

Every May through to June, for 3 weeks, AltaSteel participates in the Edmonton Corporate Challenge Event where employees represent AltaSteel in competition against other companies in the Edmonton area.  Such events include Basketball, Cribbage, Mountain Biking, Road Racing, and much more.

Holiday Celebrations

Each year AltaSteel hosts both an Adult Christmas Party and a Family Christmas Party.  The Adult Christmas Party is evening event where AltaSteel hosts a Dinner and Dance.

The Family Christmas Party is an event catered to young children of the Employees of AltaSteel.  The Family Christmas Party is hosted at West Edmonton Mall at either the Galaxy Land Amusement Park or the WEM Water Park.

Service Award

AltaSteel recognizes the long-term service of our employees through a Service Award Program.  Employees are eligible for the Service Award after completing 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of Service.

Employees who have achieved 25 years of service become members of the prestigious AltaSteel’s “Quarter Century Club”.  New members are honoured every year with a celebratory dinner. Every second year all members of the Quarter Century Club are honoured during the Quarter Century Reception.
