Bar Mill Operations Manager
We’re seeking a Bar Mill Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Bar Mill and Heat Treat department. Reporting to the Director, Bar Mill Operations, this role is critical in driving performance and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Bar Mill Operations Supervisors.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Drive for accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Equip supervisors with the tools, resources, and training needed to succeed.
- Act as a key liaison between supervisors and senior leadership.
- Support supervisors in managing attendance, performance, and employee relations.
- Manage departmental budgets and contribute to strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Conduct investigations in collaboration with HR, HSE, and groups as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a unionized setting is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High level of integrity, work ethic, and leadership capability.
