Sales Representative
AltaSteel Inc. is seeking an experienced, dedicated and motivated professional to join the Sales Department as an Sales Representative. Reporting to the Sales Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with current and prospective customers, understanding their unique needs, and effectively promoting our products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the continued success and growth of our business.
Responsibilities
- Continue relationships with current customers and ensure sales volumes and margins.
 - Identify new business opportunities within industry with heavy focus on identifying, targeting, and qualifying prospective new customers.
 - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders with customer organizations.
 - Understand customer requirements and our products.
 - Collaborate with internal teams, including, quality assurance, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and delivery of our products.
 - Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations that effectively communicate the value proposition of our offerings.
 - Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both the company and the client.
 - Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
 - Achieve and exceed sales targets, revenue goals, and performance metrics as established by the organization.
 
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
 - 3 to 5 years of related experience, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
 - Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, with a track record of exceeding sales targets and objectives.
 - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence decision-making.
 - Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with senior-level executives and stakeholders.
 - Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving results.
 - Willingness and ability to travel as needed to meet with clients within North America (travel expectation could be up to 25% of the time).
 
Job Details
- Full-time, permanent opportunity.
 - Standard schedule of work is Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, with occasional business requirement to work outside of standard hours.
 - On-site work with no remote or hybrid option
 - Compensation includes base salary, bonus, health benefits and pension contributions.
 - Incumbent must be comfortable with wearing PPE and frequently entering plant settings.
 - Pre-Employment Criminal Background check and zero tolerance Alcohol & Drug test is required.
